Hi, I’m CHANDY.
Pronouns She/Her
I live in Aiken, SC, with my husband, our two daughters, and our dog. I’m so glad you’re here and taking this step toward support. We all go through times in life that feel overwhelming, and it takes courage to reach out. I know that firsthand as I’ve leaned on therapy myself when I needed it, and it made all the difference.
I’m especially passionate about working with women, and I chose to specialize in perinatal mental health after my own path to motherhood turned out to be far more complicated than I expected. That experience deepened my empathy and reinforced my belief that no one should have to navigate life’s hardest seasons alone.
My goal is to offer you a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can share your story and feel supported as you move toward healing and growth.
My background
I understand that seeking support can feel challenging, and I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and expertise as you work toward your goals. With both personal insight from my own lived experience and professional training, I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where women feel heard, supported, and empowered.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina in 2008 and am licensed to practice in both South Carolina (LISW-CP) and Georgia (LCSW). Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of working with women in residential, outpatient, virtual, and private practice settings, helping them navigate a wide range of mental health concerns.
I have specialized training and certification in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders through Postpartum Support International as a Perinatal Mental Health Provider (PMH-C). Supporting women and families during this important stage is a passion of mine.
Additionally, I bring extensive experience in treating substance use disorders, holding certifications as a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), and Certified Addiction Counselor II (CAC II).
My goal is to offer understanding, guidance, and practical support that fits your unique journey, helping you build resilience and find healing in your life.
My approach
I practice cultural humility by striving to understand the diverse identities each person brings, including race and ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, education, and lived experiences. My goal is always to listen with openness and respect, creating space where differences are not only accepted but valued.
I regularly engage in cultural and diversity training to continue growing in this work, but I also believe the deepest learning comes from the people I sit with. I’m not afraid to ask questions, admit when I don’t know something, and remain curious and teachable. Above all, I commit to treating you with dignity, respect, and genuine care.
